Gergana Velinova — original jazz, shaped by heritage, driven by heart.

“The honey-voiced vocalist,” as the Toronto Sun describes her, Gergana Velinova is a Bulgarian–Canadian jazz vocalist, poet, and composer who has carved a distinctive space with her luminous voice and original songwriting, moving fluidly across contemporary jazz, sultry Bossa nova, and jazz-pop. Known for her warm stage presence, uplifting songs, and vibrant performances, Gergana creates music shaped by singable melodies, soulful grooves, and lyrical storytelling.

Gergana (Gair-GAH-nah) has performed across North America and Europe, appearing at renowned venues including Merkin Concert Hall in New York, Pickman Hall in Boston, the Chan Centre in Vancouver, Earshot Jazz Live at SOM in Seattle, as well as appearances at International Jazz Festivals. She has collaborated with acclaimed Juno - and Grammy - nominated artists including Bob Moses, Don Thompson, Neil Swainson, Keith Ganz, and Phil Dwyer to name a few.

A recording artist with Cellar Music Group, Gergana has released seven critically acclaimed albums that have charted internationally. She is also on the faculty of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra School of Music and is widely respected as a choral conductor, and vocal coach.
